To Our Valued Patients: We are open for emergency appointments only and postponing all elective procedures in response to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Any appointments for non-essential treatment, including hygiene appointments, will be rescheduled until further notice.
The health and safety of our staff, patients, and community as well as team members, remains a top priority at Denture and Dental Services. As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves, we want to assure you that we are taking significant precautionary measures and adhering to recommendations from public health officials, as well as continuing to maintain our high standards of cleanliness.
Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, issued an executive order (20-72) that prohibits all non-essential, non-urgent, and non-exempt surgery occurring at hospitals, surgery centers, as well as in-office procedure rooms for both physicians and dentists. This order will limit the use of surgical supplies, operating rooms, and hospital personnel exposure.
We are deeply concerned about the health and well-being of the public, our dental team, and all health care professionals. Our number one priority is our staff, our patients, and our community. We are actively working with our safety experts, vendors and suppliers to ensure that we can continue to offer you the best of dentistry. We are making every attempt to remain available to serve our patients, although not at the expense of anyone’s health.
We are taking additional safety and hygiene measures to protect our patients during their appointment. In addition to reinforcing good hygiene practices recommended by the WHO and ADA with our team members, we have also increased the frequency of our already stringent cleaning and sanitation procedures in the office. These include frequent handwashing, use of clean masks and gloves, and disinfecting all surfaces in the treatment rooms and reception areas. We are also taking these additional measures based on guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention:
Updated patient visit protocol including hand sanitizer for each patient upon arrival, pre-visit temperature checks, and a patient survey to assess your risk of exposure to COVID-19.
We are asking each patient to wait in their vehicles until their designated operatory is ready. After each appointment, we are sanitizing all equipment, rooms, and objects touched before another patient enters the office.
Sterilizing pens, clipboards, and doorknobs after each patient's use.
Removing shared items in the office such as magazines and books.
Instructing team members to stay home if they feel sick or have traveled to high-risk areas.
Increased cleaning and disinfecting of all areas in the office.
New HEPA air filters.
N95 masks for all team members.
As a courtesy to our staff, families, and other patients, if you or anyone in your family is sick or at risk please call to reschedule your appointment.
We are doing our part at Denture and Dental Services to mitigate the spread of the virus and look forward to seeing everyone after this challenging time. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at (850)-650-7979 or email us at denturedoc@ymail.com
We are continually evaluating and will update our office on an ongoing basis as new information becomes available. We are wishing safety and health for you and your loved ones during these uncertain times.
Thank you,
Dr. Peter Masone, DDS
